Ingredients
Scale
Jalapeno Poppers
- 10 jalapenos
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 2 oz Colby Jack cheese, shredded
- 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp ranch seasoning
- ¼ cup green onions, chopped
- 5 oz bag of bacon bits
Instructions
- Prepare the Jalapenos: Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the seeds and membranes to reduce the heat and create space for the filling.
- Make the Cheese Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded Colby Jack cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, ranch seasoning, and chopped green onions. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
- Fill the Jalapenos: Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, filling them evenly and generously.
- Coat with Bacon Bits: Dip each filled jalapeno into the bag of bacon bits, pressing lightly so the bacon adheres well to the surface of the cheese filling.
- Air Fry the Poppers: Arrange the bacon-coated jalapenos in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 4-5 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.
Notes
- For less heat, remove all the seeds and membranes from the jalapenos.
- You can substitute ranch seasoning with your favorite spice blend if preferred.
- Ensure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking and crispiness.
- Use cooked bacon bits or pre-cooked and crumbled bacon for a richer flavor.
- Serve immediately for optimal crispness and melty cheese.
