Instructions

  1. Prepare mushrooms: Wash the button mushrooms thoroughly and carefully remove their stems. Set the caps aside and collect the stems for the filling.
  2. Make filling: Place the mushroom stems, cream cheese, shredded parmesan, Italian breadcrumbs, minced garlic, kosher salt, and black pepper into a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Fill mushrooms: Using a small spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the creamy filling. Sprinkle extra shredded parmesan cheese and a light dusting of Italian seasoning on top of each filled mushroom.
  4. Air fry: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the stuffed mushrooms in the air fryer basket, making sure they have enough space for air to circulate. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
