Description

This Big Mac Pizza is a flavorful and fun twist on the classic burger, featuring seasoned ground beef, a blend of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, fresh pickles, onions, shredded lettuce, and a tangy homemade special sauce. Ready in under an hour, it combines all the iconic Big Mac flavors on a crispy baked pizza crust.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Base

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Beef Topping

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 1 tbsp hamburger seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Cheese

  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Fresh Toppings

  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

Special Sauce

  • 1/4 cup special sauce (recipe below or use Thousand Island dressing)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped pickles or relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and prepare your pizza dough by rolling it out on a baking sheet or pizza stone to your desired thickness.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat, then add the taco or hamburger seasoning. Stir well and set aside.
  3. Make the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, finely chopped pickles, white vinegar, paprika, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste. This sauce can also be substituted with Thousand Island dressing if preferred.
  4. Assemble the Pizza: Spread a thin, even layer of the special sauce over the rolled-out pizza dough. Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef on top, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the meat.
  5. Bake the Pizza: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
  6. Add Fresh Toppings: Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top with sliced pickles, finely chopped onions, and shredded iceberg lettuce. Optionally, drizzle additional special sauce over the top for extra flavor.
  7. Serve: Slice your Big Mac pizza while hot and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • The special sauce can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Use a pizza stone if available for a crispier crust.
  • For a spicier twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the special sauce.
  • You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based meat for different dietary preferences.
  • Leftover pizza can be reheated in a conventional oven or air fryer for best results.
