Description

This Big Mac Salad recipe captures all the flavors of a classic Big Mac in a healthier, low-carb salad form. With seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese, pickles, red onion, and a homemade Big Mac-style dressing, this salad is a satisfying meal that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

Seasoned Ground Beef:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Salad:

  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion

Big Mac-Style Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped pickles or relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with salt, pepper, and onion powder until browned and cooked through, about 7–8 minutes. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Assemble Salad: In a large salad bowl, layer the chopped romaine, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, diced pickles, and red onion. Add the warm ground beef on top.
  3. Add Dressing and Toss: Drizzle with Big Mac-style dressing and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • To make the Big Mac-style dressing: whisk together all dressing ingredients. Store leftovers separately for best texture.
