Description

These Blackened Salmon Caesar Wraps combine spicy seared salmon with crisp romaine lettuce and creamy Caesar dressing, all wrapped in a soft tortilla for an easy, flavorful meal ready in just 20 minutes. Perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner, this recipe balances bold blackened spices with fresh, zesty lemon and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 2 fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tsp blackening spice
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (for searing)

Wrap

  • 2 large tortillas
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon: Rinse each salmon fillet under cold water and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
  2. Season the salmon: Evenly rub blackening spice over both sides of the salmon fillets to coat them fully with the flavorful blend.
  3. Sear the salmon: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the cooking oil. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin side down and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until the outside is crispy and the inside is cooked through.
  4. Assemble the wraps: Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Divide the chopped romaine lettuce between the tortillas, then add the cooked salmon fillets on top.
  5. Add dressing and cheese: Drizzle Caesar dressing evenly over the lettuce and salmon, then sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top. Finish by squeezing fresh lemon juice over everything to enhance brightness.
  6. Roll and serve: Fold the sides of each tortilla inward and roll tightly from one end to the other to secure the fillings. Slice the wraps in half if desired and serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Use fresh salmon for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute blackening spice with Cajun seasoning if preferred.
  • For a lighter version, use a low-fat Caesar dressing.
  • Ensure the skillet is hot before adding salmon to get a nice crispy crust.
  • This wrap is best enjoyed immediately to keep the tortilla soft and fillings fresh.
