Description

Elf Munch is a festive, sweet and crunchy treat perfect for holiday gatherings. This delightful snack combines kettle corn coated in a marshmallow and butter glaze, tinted with green food coloring for a fun holiday twist, and topped with colorful red and green M&M’s along with delicious Whopper chocolates for extra texture and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Popcorn Mixture

  • 10 cups kettle corn
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 drops green food coloring

Toppings

  • 1 cup red and green M&M’s
  • 1 box Whopper chocolates

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter: In a large stock pot, melt the butter over medium heat until fully liquefied.
  2. Melt Marshmallows: Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.
  3. Add Food Coloring: Mix in the green food coloring drops thoroughly to evenly tint the marshmallow mixture.
  4. Coat Popcorn: Add the kettle corn into the pot and stir gently but thoroughly until all popcorn is evenly coated with the green marshmallow mixture.
  5. Spread Mixture: Pour the coated popcorn mixture onto a large cookie sheet, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Add Toppings: Sprinkle the red and green M&M’s and Whopper chocolates evenly over the top of the popcorn mixture.
  7. Set and Serve: Allow the Elf Munch to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to set before breaking into pieces and enjoying.

Notes

  • Use a large enough stock pot to comfortably stir and coat the popcorn without spilling.
  • For extra crispness, let the mixture cool completely before storing.
  • This snack is ideal for parties and holiday celebrations.
  • Substitute Whoppers with any malted milk balls if preferred.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
