Ingredients
Ground Beef:

Onion, diced:
1 small;
Potatoes, thinly sliced:
3 cups (about 3 medium potatoes);
Cream of Mushroom Soup:
1 (10.5-ounce can);
Milk:
1/2 cup;
Cheddar Cheese, shredded:
1 cup;
Garlic Powder:
1/2 teaspoon;
Paprika:
1/2 teaspoon;
Salt and Black Pepper:

Olive Oil or Butter:
1 tablespoon for greasing the dish;

Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Drain excess grease.
- Prepare Soup Mixture: Whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
- Layer Ingredients: Layer half of the potatoes, beef mixture, and soup in the baking dish. Repeat layers.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes. Remove foil, add shredded cheese, and bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and potatoes are tender.
- Rest and Serve: Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired.

- You can use cream of chicken soup or a homemade version as a substitute.
- Ground turkey or sausage can be used as alternatives to ground beef.
