Instructions
- Prepare the pan: Grease all sides of the cake pan thoroughly to ensure the cake releases easily after cooking.
- Add water to Instant Pot: Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot insert to generate steam for pressure cooking.
- Make the batter: In a mixing bowl, beat together the orange cake mix, 1 cup of water, 1/3 cup canola oil, and 3 large eggs until well combined and smooth.
- Pour batter in pan: Transfer the batter into the greased cake pan, spreading it evenly.
- Cover with paper towel: Gently place a paper towel over the top of the cake pan to catch condensation.
- Seal with foil: Cover the paper towel with aluminum foil and secure it tightly around the rim of the cake pan to prevent water from dripping onto the batter.
- Set in Instant Pot: Place the cake pan onto the Instant Pot trivet and insert the trivet carefully into the Instant Pot.
- Program Instant Pot: Press the “Cake” button, select the “Less” setting, and adjust the cook time to 50 minutes.
- Natural pressure release: When cooking ends, allow the Instant Pot to release pressure naturally for best texture.
- Prepare glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar and milk until you achieve your preferred glaze consistency.
