Description

The Purple People Eater Cocktail is a vibrant and flavorful Halloween-themed drink featuring a blend of Blue Curacao, vodka, raspberry schnapps, and grape juice, rimmed with simple syrup and festive Halloween cake sprinkles. This visually striking cocktail combines sweet, tart, and fruity notes, perfect for a spooky celebration.

Ingredients

Scale

Rim

  • Simple syrup
  • Halloween cake sprinkles

Cocktail

  • 2 oz Blue Curacao
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 2 oz Raspberry Schnapps (Razzmatazz)
  • 4 oz Sweet and Sour Mix
  • 3 oz Grape Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Silver cake shimmer
  • ½ oz Grenadine
  • Ice (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rim: Pour simple syrup onto a small plate and Halloween cake sprinkles onto another separate small plate.
  2. Rim the glasses: Dip the rim of each glass first into the simple syrup, then into the sprinkles to coat the edges.
  3. Set the rims: Place the rimmed glasses upside down on a surface and let them sit for 10 minutes to allow the rim to set properly.
  4. Prepare the glass: Fill each glass with ice to chill and prepare for the cocktail.
  5. Add grenadine: Pour ½ oz of grenadine into each prepared glass, allowing it to settle at the bottom for a layered effect.
  6. Mix the cocktail: In a pitcher, combine Blue Curacao, vodka, raspberry schnapps, sweet and sour mix, grape juice, and silver cake shimmer.
  7. Stir well: Stir the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the shimmer is evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the cocktail: Carefully pour the mixed cocktail over the grenadine and ice in each glass.
  9. Garnish and serve: Garnish the cocktail as desired, and serve immediately for a festive and delicious experience.

Notes

  • Allowing the rim to set by letting the glasses sit upside down helps the sprinkles adhere better and reduces mess.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of grenadine or sweet and sour mix according to taste.
  • Silver cake shimmer adds a beautiful sparkling effect but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • Serve immediately after preparation for best flavor and visual appeal.
