Jello Layers
- 1 small box of Grape Jello – 3.4 ounces
- 1 small box of Blue Raspberry Jello – 3.4 ounces
- 1 small box of Raspberry Jello – 3.4 ounces
White Gelatin Layers
- Unflavored Gelatin – 2 envelopes
- Water – 1 cup (divided into 1/2 cup + 1/2 cup)
- Eagle-brand Milk – 1/2 cup
Topping
- 1 can of Ready-whip whipped cream
- Fresh Raspberries (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare Grape Jello Layer: Line the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch dish with parchment paper. Prepare the grape jello according to package directions. Pour it into the prepared dish and refrigerate for about 1 hour until set.
- Make First White Gelatin Layer: Sprinkle one envelope of unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup water in a medium dish and let it bloom for 5 minutes. Boil another 1/2 cup water, pour over the gelatin, and stir to dissolve. Add 1/2 cup Eagle-brand milk and mix well. Let the mixture cool. Remove the dish with grape jello from the fridge and pour this white gelatin mixture on top. Return the dish to the refrigerator and let it set for about 1 hour until firm.
- Prepare Blue Raspberry Jello Layer: Make the blue raspberry jello according to package directions. Let it cool until just barely warm. Remove the dish from the refrigerator and pour the blue raspberry jello layer over the first white layer. Refrigerate again until firm, approximately 1 hour.
- Make Second White Gelatin Layer: Repeat the gelatin blooming process and preparation as in step 2 with the second unflavored gelatin envelope. Pour this white gelatin mixture over the firm blue raspberry layer. Return the dish to the refrigerator and chill until firm.
- Prepare Raspberry Jello Layer: Prepare the raspberry jello according to package directions. Allow it to cool to room temperature. Pour this final red layer over the second white gelatin layer. Refrigerate the dish for 2-3 hours or until fully set.
- Serve: Cut the layered jello into large 3 x 3 inch squares. Top each piece with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a fresh raspberry before serving. Enjoy this vibrant, layered dessert!
Notes
- Use parchment paper to easily lift the jello layers from the dish for neater serving.
- Ensure each layer is completely firm before adding the next to maintain distinct, clean layers.
- Allow the jello layers to cool appropriately to avoid mixing or melting of the layers.
- For a firmer white layer, allow the gelatin mixture to cool fully before pouring.
- This dessert is best served chilled and within 2 days for optimal texture and flavor.
