Ingredients
Scale
For the Chicken Tacos
- 500g ground chicken
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Drizzle of avocado oil (for cooking)
- 8 small flour tortillas
Toppings
- 1/2 head romaine lettuce, shredded
- 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tbsp turkey bacon bits
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the seasoned chicken mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine 500g of ground chicken with 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly blended to ensure consistent flavor in each bite.
- Assemble chicken on tortillas: Spread an even layer of the seasoned ground chicken mixture on one side of each of the 8 small flour tortillas, preparing them for cooking.
- Cook the chicken on tortillas: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of avocado oil. Place the tortillas chicken-side down on the hot skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Flip the tortillas to crisp the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Add the toppings: Remove the cooked chicken tacos from the skillet. Top each with shredded romaine lettuce, a drizzle of Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and turkey bacon bits to add layers of flavor and texture.
- Garnish and serve: Add fresh parsley on top for a fresh aroma and color contrast. Serve immediately to enjoy the tacos warm and crispy.
Notes
- You can substitute turkey bacon bits with regular bacon bits or omit for a vegetarian option.
- To make it gluten-free, use corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas.
- Adjust the amount of Caesar dressing based on your taste preference to prevent sogginess.
- Make sure the skillet is hot enough to crisp the chicken and tortilla but not so hot that it burns quickly.
