Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Pudding Layer
- 1 (3.9 oz) box Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
- 2 cups whole milk
Whipped Topping Layer
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 5 drops green food coloring
- 1/2 cup green sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare Chocolate Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and whole milk until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes so the pudding can thicken properly.
- Color the Whipped Topping: In a separate bowl, combine half of the whipped topping with 5 drops of green food coloring. Stir gently until you achieve an even and vibrant green color.
- First Layer of Pudding: Spoon about two tablespoons of the chocolate pudding into the bottom of clear serving cups to create the first layer.
- First Layer of Green Whipped Topping: Add two tablespoons of the colored green whipped topping on top of the pudding layer in each cup.
- Repeat Layering: Continue alternating layers of two tablespoons each of chocolate pudding and green whipped topping until the cups are nearly full, making sure to finish with a layer of whipped topping on top.
- Garnish and Chill: Sprinkle the green sprinkles generously over the final whipped topping layer for decoration. Place the pudding cups in the refrigerator and chill until ready to serve to enhance the flavors and texture.
Notes
- Use clear cups or glasses to show off the colorful layers for a festive presentation.
- For a lighter dessert, substitute whole milk with 2% or skim milk.
- If you prefer, you can make your own whipped topping by whipping heavy cream with some sugar and adding green food coloring.
- Chill the pudding cups for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the layers to set properly.
- Sprinkles can be replaced with crushed mint candies or chopped pistachios for added texture and flavor.
