- 2/3 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup Splenda
- 1 tbsp orange liqueur (omit for non-alcoholic version)
Instructions
- Blend Ingredients: Combine all the ingredients – strawberries, fresh lime juice, Splenda, and orange liqueur – in a blender. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth, ensuring there are no chunks.
- Freeze Slush Mixture: Pour the blended mixture into a loaf pan and place it in the freezer. Allow it to freeze for approximately 3 to 4 hours or until it becomes firm but not rock solid.
- Beat for Smoothness: Remove the loaf pan from the freezer and transfer the frozen mixture to a chilled bowl. Beat or whisk it vigorously until the texture smooths out and it becomes fluffy and slushy.
- Serve Immediately: Pour the strawberry margarita slush into glasses and serve immediately to enjoy the refreshing icy texture.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the orange liqueur.
- If using frozen strawberries, there’s no need to thaw before blending.
- Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less Splenda.
- You may substitute Splenda with sugar or another sweetener if preferred, but this may affect the nutrition facts slightly.
