Description

This refreshing Strawberry Margarita Slush is a delightful frozen cocktail perfect for warm days or casual gatherings. Combining fresh strawberries, tangy lime juice, and a hint of orange liqueur, it offers a sweet, tangy, and icy treat that can be made alcoholic or non-alcoholic. With easy preparation and a few hours of freezing, it transforms into a smooth, slushy dessert drink that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale

Slush Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (or frozen)
  • 2/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup Splenda
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur (omit for non-alcoholic version)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Combine all the ingredients – strawberries, fresh lime juice, Splenda, and orange liqueur – in a blender. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth, ensuring there are no chunks.
  2. Freeze Slush Mixture: Pour the blended mixture into a loaf pan and place it in the freezer. Allow it to freeze for approximately 3 to 4 hours or until it becomes firm but not rock solid.
  3. Beat for Smoothness: Remove the loaf pan from the freezer and transfer the frozen mixture to a chilled bowl. Beat or whisk it vigorously until the texture smooths out and it becomes fluffy and slushy.
  4. Serve Immediately: Pour the strawberry margarita slush into glasses and serve immediately to enjoy the refreshing icy texture.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the orange liqueur.
  • If using frozen strawberries, there’s no need to thaw before blending.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less Splenda.
  • You may substitute Splenda with sugar or another sweetener if preferred, but this may affect the nutrition facts slightly.
