Description

Create a fun and festive Turkey Pancakes breakfast for Thanksgiving that is both playful and delicious. These pancakes are shaped and decorated with fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, and sweet accents to resemble a turkey, making it a perfect dish to delight kids and adults alike on the holiday morning.

Ingredients

Scale

Pancake Base

  • Pancake recipe or boxed pancake mix, enough for 4 pancakes (1 large, 1 medium, 2 small)

Decorations

  • 4 strawberries, sliced
  • 1 clementine, sliced
  • 2 large eggs, scrambled
  • 1 mini marshmallow, halved
  • 2 mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pancakes: Combine your chosen pancake mix or pancake recipe batter. Pour batter onto a pan over low heat and cook to make one large round pancake, one medium round pancake, and two smaller pancakes.
  2. Shape Pancakes: Use a large round cookie cutter to cut the large pancake and a medium round cookie cutter for the medium pancake. Use heart-shaped cookie cutters or kitchen scissors to cut the two small pancakes into heart shapes. Arrange all pancake shapes on a plate.
  3. Scramble Eggs: Scramble the two eggs in a separate pan until fully cooked and fluffy.
  4. Assemble Turkey Pancake: Line the top edge of the large pancake with sliced strawberries and scrambled eggs to form the feathers. Cut a small piece of strawberry to create the turkey’s wattle. Use small cuts from a clementine slice to make the turkey’s beak and feet. Place the halved mini marshmallow as eyes and top each with a mini chocolate chip as pupils for a cute turkey face.

Notes

  • Use kitchen scissors if you don’t have cookie cutters to shape the pancakes effectively.
  • Adjust fruit decorations based on availability or preference.
  • Serve immediately for best taste and appearance.
  • This recipe yields one turkey-shaped breakfast pancake suitable for one serving.
